We've been preparing to pack up and do the lap of Australia with no time restrictions and that comes with HUGE changes (obviously)… to be able to afford to do it + help us adjust and feel secure in such a radical shift we have done/doing these 5 things below"

1 - Online income with affiliate marketing 👩‍💻

So we can have a way of working / earning that isn't dependent on where we are or when we can work (& so we have full freedom & flexibility where we choose to be).

2 - Selling belongings / assets 🛍

We have been going through furniture, material possessions and selling + having garage sale, etc and will also be selling other assets such as second vehicle for extra finances = safety net when first travelling (and to condense on space).

3 - Renting house 🏡

We will rent our house while we are gone (initially for a 12 month period) which will cover mortgage, house and rental insurances with any potential excess going towards a slush fund for potential repairs or mishaps.

4 - Taking half pay leave 💰

I have applied to take some of my leave at half pay as a temporary measure to make sure we do love doing it before we cut all ties + so we will have a little extra coming in each week initially (as an extra safety net as we adjust to a life on the road).

5 - Looking at cost effective accommodation +/- farm stays 🏞

We are setting up for full off-grid capabilities and will utilise free stays, showgrounds, private properties, etc to save on camping costs; we will also look at farm options as Dan is a born and bred country boy and happy to work in certain places as we do the lap.
